Do you love films and are you looking for something outside of the Hollywood cliche? Then Sundance Film Festival has your name all over it.
The Sundance Film Festival provides the best showcase of new work from independent filmmakers. This film festival is unique as it allows directors, writers, producers and actors to have a question and answer session with the audience, after the screening of their films.
Film screenings are held in Park City, Salt Lake City and Sundance Mountain Resort. Park City is the main hub as its has more theatres and is also the headquarters. It will likely be snowy and cold during the festival. We recommend waterproof shoes or boots, gloves, hat and a winter coat for each member of your family.
Get your tickets from the Sundance website. You can use the wait line system or check the ticket office to get day-of or unsold tickets, depending on when you're there. Pay close attention to the venue as screenings are held over 3 cities in Utah.
Of the 3 cities, you will find the most accommodation options in Salt Lake City. Book a room very early in Park City or plan on staying in Salt Lake City and commuting to Park City. Obviously if you would book accommodation at the city in which most of your tickets to the screenings.
Park City is 35 minutes away from Salt Lake International Airport.
