There are two cities in Brazil that have amazing Carnivals: Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. Each city has its own style of music. In Rio, they play samba music, while in Salvador they play samba reggae. There are also a lot of free street parties called “blocos” in both cities. In Rio, there are over 450 street parties, and most of them start at 7 AM and finish at 7 PM.
Go experience the Sambadrome during the carnival
The Rio de Janeiro Carnival is a world-famous festival held annually in February and March. It is considered the biggest and most famous carnival in the world, with two million people attending each day. The Rio Carnival features a parade of floats, samba dancers and musicians.
The Sambadrome is the most famous attraction in Rio during Carnaval. It’s a stadium where the parade takes place. The parades are very elaborate and colorful, and they last for hours. The best samba schools from all over Brazil compete in the parade, and it’s a very exciting event to watch.
If you’re in Rio during Carnaval, you absolutely must go to the Sambadrome to see the parade. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
Tickets for the Sambadrome can be bought online or at the stadium itself. If you buy them online, be sure to do so well in advance, as they tend to sell out. Tickets are also much cheaper if you buy them in advance.
If you’re going to Rio during Carnaval, I highly recommend purchasing tickets for the Sambadrome. It’s an amazing experience that you won’t want to miss!
Accomodation options in Rio during the carnival
If you’re looking for a place to stay during Rio’s carnival, there are plenty of options to choose from. Whether you want to be in the heart of the action or a little bit away from it all, you can find accommodations that suit your needs and budget.
For those who want to be right in the thick of things, there are plenty of hotels and hostels located in the city center. This is where all the action happens during carnival, so you’ll be able to enjoy the festivities to the fullest. If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, this is definitely the place to be.
If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, there are also plenty of options outside of the city center. There are beachside hotels and apartments that offer stunning views of the ocean, as well as more secluded options if you’re looking to get away from the crowds.
Transportation in Rio
Rio’s public transportation system is excellent and can get you just about anywhere you want to go. During the carnival, there are extra buses and trains running to accommodate the increased demand.
If you’re staying in the city center, you probably won’t need to use public transportation much, as most of the action takes place within walking distance. However, if you’re staying outside of the city center, taking the bus or train is a great way to get around.
